IECHost GUI client version 3.8.5 released

Version 3.8.5 of the IECHost GUI client is now available within my Software page.

This is a minor update for a few enhancements and bug fixes. Details of the changes are available through the issue tracker.

Although not required, it is recommended to update the firmware in order to enjoy a far better warp disk dumping experience.

IECHost GUI client update

Version 2.16 of the IECHost GUI client with additional logging about sector read retry results is now available within my Software page.

All 2.16 packages include by default 35 and 40 track binaries. Plus there’s now a Windows “portable” package that can be used on a PC or removable drive without any need to install the GTK+ runtime.

Enjoy!

IECHost GUI client “mass dumping” version released

Version 2.15 of the IECHost GUI client is now available within my Software page. Be reminded that this version too requires a firmware update in order to deal with the changes to a few commands.

Again, a video that illustrates how to do a firmware update is available on YouTube:

Enjoy!

Another update to the IECHost GUI client

Version 2.14 of the IECHost GUI client is now available within my Software page. Before you crack on with disk imaging, be reminded that this version requires a firmware update in order to use custom disk name and ID to format disks using “Format II” routines (fast format).

IECHost client updated again

Over the weekend I stumbled over what I’d refer to as an incomplete implementation of the logic within the IECHost GUI client when sector retry attempts are exhausted for a track.
The consequence of this bug is that in presence of tracks with lots of errors, a track change would have been missed by the GUI.

Version 2.13 of the client is now available within my Software page.

Enjoy!
